  Unprepared, unreliable, & unprofessional. My husband and I used Bob Hawkins services for our wedding ceremony & reception. I asked a dear friend to sing me down the aisle. Instead of a very emotional moment waking down the aisle listening to my friend sing and while walking toward my soon-to-be husband… I walked down the aisle in silence. The DJ did not adequately prepare for our ceremony, resulting in the music and microphone cutting out while I was still near the top of a very long aisle. I didn’t have much choice except to continue moving forward in silence. I complained to the owner of Bob Hawkins about how this moment was ruined, and the DJ & owner tried to blame the occurrence on a guest rather than simply apologizing - there is no scenario where a guest was to blame for this, it was a cut-and-dry case of the DJ either not preparing, or faulty equipment. The DJ and I spoke many times throughout the night at my wedding and he never apologized or even acknowledged what had happened. Further, in my many emails back and forth with the owner an apology was never offered. It seemed like the owner was much more concerned with keeping my money than what had gone wrong. I found that Bob Hawkins lack the tact of realizing the business they are in - which is servicing weddings, an incredibly important day in a couple’s life that shouldn’t be treated like an everyday business transaction. Further a few other small things happened that solidified to me that this is not a company you want present on such an important day. In short the DJ refused to play one more song at the end of the night at my request, and my venue had to tell me, to my embarrassment, that the DJ was quite aggressive in asking for his meal before the guests had all been served. I found the music played throughout the night to be fine. No real issues, but nothing memorable. I won’t be surprise to hear this company does have DJ’s that do a great job. This however was not my experience and I feel obliged to share it to heed warning for others. I unfortunately don’t know the name of the DJ that serviced my wedding - but my continued interaction with the owner of the company has made it clear to me that the personality and actions of the DJ are fully supported by the owner.

  Bob Hawkins was used by my parents for their wedding 25 years ago! My parents referred me to them and I can't express how impressed we were with their services. The process was very easy to get our songs listed and ready to go a for our wedding. The DJ showed up on time, was easy going and flexible (even getting 'happy birthday' to play without any notice). He also kept the dance floor going all night, right to the end of the evening. I highly recommend their services!

  My husband and I used Bob Hawkins Professional DJ Services for our wedding this past weekend. It was truly phenomenal service, before, during, and after. We received email responses promptly, and confirmation emails and reminder emails before the event. They were on top of things! During the wedding, Robert played all of our guests requests, as we asked him to, and the dance floor was filled all night long. We couldn't have asked for a better night!

  If, like us, you are very particular and have loads of questions and musical requests - this is a great DJ for you. BobHawkins was very responsive to our many questions, very accommodating to our last minute changes and had a wide selection of songs to choose from in the online library. Our DJ for the evening, Robert, was very professional. We were too busy to even meet in person but felt very confident and at ease w/ the musical selections. Highly recommended!
